Actuarial Analyst
Actuarial Analyst – c. £30,000 (depending on experience)
This is a great job for someone who is looking to develop their actuarial career within a collaborative team, with strong analytical skills and an interest in technical problem solving. This role would suit someone with a solid mathematical background who is eager to build their knowledge of actuarial processes and methodologies while delivering accurate customer outcomes.
A bit about the job:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Actuarial Team on a permanent basis, supporting both internal stakeholders and external customers. You will handle technical policy queries and contribute to projects impacting existing business policyholders, playing an important role in maintaining high standards of customer and administrative support.
You will also support the calculation and implementation of With-Profit bonus rates, including final bonus rates, surrender and transfer value factors, and estimated maturity values. Alongside this, you will help improve these processes to make them more efficient, simpler to run, and enhance customer outcomes.
The role is key to ensuring calculations are accurate, well-governed, and delivered on time, supporting both individual customers and wider business objectives.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform accurate and complex calculations
Minimum A Level Maths (or equivalent)
Good understanding of actuarial principles, formulae, and methodologies, with strong Excel and computer literacy skills
Awareness of risk and ability to identify and mitigate potential issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly

- Starting salary c. £30,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
