This opportunity is open to a Graduate or Part-Qualified Actuarial candidate who is seeking to gain exposure in a collaborative and fast paced environment. This role sits within the Financial Reporting team who are responsible for the production of the IFRS and Value of New Business (VNB) results for Aviva Life and Pensions and the communication of these results to key partners. Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of timely and accurate Group and Local reporting requirements for IFRS17, identification and explanation of the sources of changes in the IFRS17 BEL and RA via an Analysis of Change
  • Adherence to policy and procedures including controls aligning with Aviva’s Financial Reporting Control Framework (FRCF).
  • Supporting the development and BAU implementation of IFRS17 strategic kit and assist in the calculation of IFRS17 reserves.
  • Liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Planning, Pricing, Finance Control, External Audit and Group as required while being involved in projects, both reporting related and Aviva wide, as the opportunities arise.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Graduate or part qualified Actuary with related experience working within a lively and collaborative team.
  • Up to date knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles and methodology, including Solvency 2 and/or IFRS17 desirable.
  • Knowledge of the financial structure and operation of life and pensions products and in particular have a solid understanding of the structures of unit linked, with profit and term insurance products.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and progress multiple deliverables with a flexible attitude and can-do mentality.
