Actuarial Reporting Specialist
Actuarial Reporting Specialist
Salary - c. £75,000 London
Bristol or York c. £65,000
This is a great opportunity for a qualified actuary looking to broaden their actuarial and commercial perspective and further develop their Solvency II and IFRS 17 expertise. You'll review and challenge complex actuarial results across multiple businesses, developing a deeper understanding of key risks, judgements and reporting outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to work with senior Actuarial and Finance leaders across the Group with exposure to Group- and subsidiary-level reporting and Aviva’s Internal Model, while helping build the skills and experience needed to progress your actuarial career.
A bit about the job:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Group Actuarial Reporting team, supporting the Group and AII Chief Actuaries in fulfilling their wide-ranging responsibilities. The team provides oversight and challenge of actuarial results across the Group, helping to ensure external and regulatory disclosures are robust, accurate and fit for purpose.
The role offers a unique opportunity to broaden your actuarial experience beyond a single business area, giving you exposure to a wide range of products, businesses and actuarial risks across Aviva. You'll review and challenge Solvency II and IFRS 17 assumptions and results, support Internal Model validation activities, and contribute to the oversight of key actuarial judgements and risk management processes.
Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Risk and the business, you'll strengthen your technical expertise, develop professional judgement and build relationships across the Group while gaining insight into how actuarial results support decision-making.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) with experience working within life insurance, pensions or financial services.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information, identify key risks and insights, and communicate technical actuarial concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders, including senior management and committees.
Ability to apply sound judgement, challenge constructively and build effective working relationships across teams.
Experience in actuarial reporting, valuation, capital management, model governance or risk oversight activities.
