…is a newly qualified actuary or an experienced actuarial professional looking to play a key role in a major systems migration and third‑party administration realignment project within Aviva’s Life & Pensions legacy product portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is excited to deepen their understanding of complex legacy product structures.
A bit about the job:
You’ll join a high‑profile transformation programme focused on migrating and realigning Aviva’s Life & Pensions legacy products. The role involves creating detailed Excel‑based calculation specifications for the system development team, using actuarial first principles and product documentation. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers to ensure product behaviours are accurately captured. Your work will help deliver robust, consistent system outcomes for complex legacy products as they move to future platforms. This is a dynamic environment that will stretch your product knowledge and analytical problem‑solving skills.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Actuarial experience and an interest in diving deeper into the complex landscape of Aviva’s Life & Pensions legacy products, including Individual Protection.
Understanding of concepts such as conventional business, With‑Profits, valuable guarantees and complex charging structures.
Experience in Protection is helpful but not essential.
Strong MS Excel skills (no requirement for Visual Basic or coding experience).
A proactive mindset, curiosity, and strong people skills.

Starting salary between £50,000 and £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
