BPA Data Analyst
We’re looking for a BPA Data Analyst to join the Capital Management Team at Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland. This permanent role will initially involve hands on project work in supporting the delivery of new systems for BPA administration and reporting as we expand into this exciting and growing area of the market. You’ll help design and run BAU processes for BPA and reinsurance transactions, while contributing to how we produce Capital & Liquidity information. You’ll work closely with colleagues, reinsurers and third‑party partners to drive strong data quality and robust controls. This is a great opportunity to build deep expertise in scheme‑level and member‑level data analytics in a fast‑evolving part of the business.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Develop and operate BAU processes to support BPA and reinsurance transactions, including data validations, premium true‑ups, reinsurance checks and collateral monitoring.
- Support the implementation of new BPA systems and reporting tools, helping shape processes that are scalable and well‑controlled.
- Enhance and streamline processes that provide oversight of reinsurers and third‑party operational partners.
- Produce and refine Capital & Liquidity information for BPAs and related areas, contributing to effective governance and decision‑making.
- Strengthen risk and control frameworks through clear documentation, structured processes and strong operational discipline.
- Student member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland with previous actuarial/ data experience in Life insurance.
- Enthusiasm for understanding BPA technical detail and the underlying mechanics of reinsurance structures.
- Strong interest in working with data, with the ability to spot inconsistencies and ensure integrity, completeness and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, with the confidence to explain technical topics in a clear, non‑technical way.
- Good modelling and software skills, with an interest in developing efficient, repeatable processes.
