This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified actuary with planning and reporting experience to join Aviva Life & Pensions Ireland. As a Capital Management Actuary within the Financial Performance team, you’ll play a key role in shaping business plans and providing insight across Solvency II (SII) and IFRS metrics. Working closely with Actuarial, Risk and wider business teams, you’ll help ensure our strategy optimises capital usage while supporting sustainable growth. Reporting to the Capital Management Actuary - Manager , you’ll contribute to decision-making by delivering high-quality analysis and actionable insights across financial and non-financial measures.

Duties & responsibilities
  • Produce and maintain the annual business plan across both SII and IFRS bases, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Refresh planning projections regularly to reflect emerging experience and provide an up-to-date management view
  • Monitor actual performance against plan and deliver clear analysis of variances and key drivers
  • Support capital management activity, including impact assessments and optimisation of capital across the business
  • Develop and enhance planning tools and promote a strong risk and controls environment with robust documentation

Skills & experience
  • Qualified Actuary and member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland or equivalent professional body
  • Strong understanding of the life insurance industry, including financial regulation and reporting frameworks
  • Experience producing and documenting capital and IFRS metrics, with strong technical capability
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience of actuarial modelling tools

The expected pay range for this role will fall between €80,000 and €100,000 and salary offered will commensurate with candidate's level of skills and experience.
