This is a great opportunity for someone with Protection expertise to shape Aviva’s proposition and support strategic projects that improve adviser experience. The role champions best practices and innovative technology to drive growth and efficiency, while managing a dynamic change backlog informed by market insight. Working closely with product and cross-functional teams, you’ll help deliver impactful change across the business.
A bit about the job:
The position holder will provide subject matter expertise across Aviva’s Individual Protection proposition, which will support strategic projects and make it easier for advisers to trade with Aviva in the intermediated channel. This involves sharing best practice and encouraging reuse across the wider Protection change portfolio and will drive market leading user experience by championing the latest technology to unlock growth and efficiency gains.
The successful individual will manage a perpetuating change backlog, prioritising work based on insights and deep understanding of the protection market and advised user base. The role sits alongside product teams dedicated to growing the individual protection market and works collaboratively with the wider individual protection business including distribution, marketing, underwriting, claims, pricing and IT teams.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong knowledge of the Protection market and products will be essential.
Experience of data interpretation, risk, regulations and change lifecycles, including the use of Agile delivery methods and JIRA, KANBAN applications is desirable.
Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence up to senior management levels. A talented communicator able to harness strong relationships across departments, working with a broad range of colleagues every day.
Comfortable exploring the latest in technology with the ability to outline future strategy and vision and plan beyond the short-term roadmap of change.
Commercially capable, you will be experienced owning a change backlog, managing and making priority calls to maximise returns on investment (ROI).

Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
