We have an exciting opportunity for a career driven Claims Handler to join our supportive and growing team! This is a dynamic role with the opportunity for growth, offering exposure to a range of Financial Lines classes of business and regular interaction with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organisation.

A bit about the job:

This role is an entry-level pathway into Financial Lines claims. The Claims Handler will support effective claim lifecycle management through early triage, accurate data capture, diary control and coordination with panel firms, brokers and internal stakeholders. In doing so, the Claims Handler will help experienced handlers focus on complex coverage, liability and quantum issues, while getting practical exposure to the technical, commercial and service aspects of PI and wider Financial Lines claims. The role will also support stronger governance and file quality, contributing to improved service standards, reduced cycle times and better customer and broker outcomes. As a structured first step into the claims profession, it provides an opportunity to build knowledge, confidence and capability in a specialist area, supporting both immediate team resilience and longer-term talent development.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Knowledge of claims handling, quality assurance, fraud and impacting legislation
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise the competing demands of an active caseload
• Excellent interpersonal skills to act as a credible representative for Aviva
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients and partners.
• No Financial Lines claims experience is necessary but previous claims handling experience is essential

• Starting salary between £26,700 and £31,700 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
