Claims Performance Lead – Salary c£52,000

Location: Norwich or Leeds

Are you someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear business insight and influencing strategic decisions through evidence-based performance management?

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Claims Performance, Claims Analytics, Operational Excellence, Business Intelligence or Claims Operations who is looking to take ownership of end-to-end claims performance across a large and complex motor claims environment. The role would suit an individual who combines strong analytical capability with commercial understanding and enjoys working across multiple business functions to drive meaningful customer, operational and financial outcomes.

A bit about the job:

As a Claims Performance Lead, you'll play a key role in providing insight, challenge and direction across Motor Claims Operations. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality performance reporting and analysis that supports senior leadership decision-making, helping colleagues understand not just what is happening, but why it matters and what action should be taken.

Working closely with Claims, Finance, Pricing, Underwriting, Business Intelligence and operational teams, you'll identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce claims costs and enhance customer outcomes. You'll support the development of automated reporting and self-service insight capability while ensuring robust governance, strong data quality and clear ownership of performance outcomes across the claims journey.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in Claims Performance, Claims Analytics, Operational Performance Management or a similar insurance-based role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience delivering performance reporting and presenting findings to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Knowledge of claims cost drivers, indemnity performance, fraud, recoveries, credit hire or wider motor claims operations.
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence and reporting tools, with a track record of driving process improvement, automation or reporting efficiencies.
