Control Specialist
We are looking for a Controls Specialist to join our team in Dublin on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract. This individual will be responsible for reviewing the controls we have in place for our Customer Experience teams, ensuring they are working and that the teams are adhering to them.
You'll also be responsible for monitoring errors and risk events made by the teams and providing supportive challenge on the Root Cause analysis and corrective actions. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to make things better for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of risk and controls within the Customer Experience department.
- Review, develop and embed good risk management practise across the business areas in line with the Risk Management Framework.
- Support team members in preparing for RCSA workshops, ensuring alignment with relevant Business Standards, and assist with managing risk events and issues—particularly in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and capturing Lessons Learned.
- Supporting team when assessing controls and when Group 2LOD are testing controls.
- Act as the voice of Risk within your business area, promoting a strong culture of risk awareness and management. Ensure timely communication and implementation of updates by cascading information from weekly reminder emails and Risk Champion meetings to your teams.
Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of Risk management
- Understanding of what makes a good Root Cause Analysis
- Experience in Insurance/Financial Services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to influence peers
