We are looking for an ambitious Corporate Governance professional who is keen to take the next step in their career! If you have prior experience working in a listed company or regulated environment – ideally within Financial Services - and are used to completing tasks to a high standard within a large, corporate setting, then we’d love to hear from you!
A bit about the job:
As a Corporate Governance Manager for Aviva Insurance, Wealth and Retirement (IWR), you will provide high-quality company secretarial and corporate governance support to the IWR business, boards and committees, enabling them to set and achieve strategic priorities.
You will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate governance advice, maintaining statutory records and registers and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You’ll support board operations and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders.
The role also contributes to the development of best practice governance across IWR and the wider Aviva Group, including collaboration with Subsidiary Governance and other Corporate Governance teams. You’ll support year-end processes, coach junior team members, and feed in to iCARE control testing for IWR controls.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- CGI qualified Corporate Governance professional, or qualified solicitor, with proven company secretarial and corporate governance expertise, ideally gained through experience within FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 organisations.
- Proven excellence in developing, managing and influencing senior stakeholders, demonstrating clear, confident communication up to Executive and Director level.
- Solid knowledge of company law, administration and corporate governance, with particular emphasis on the UK listed company environment.
- Excellent self-management i.e., the ability to work independently, manage a complex workload, and to effectively prioritise workload.
- Attention to detail, matched with excellent presentation & report writing skills.

- Starting salary circa £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
