We have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Governance Trainee to join our outstanding Corporate Governance Function. This is a great job for someone who wishes to gain a career within the area, as we will invest and support you to gain qualifications (sponsored by Aviva) this could be in the format of exams, Masters or apprenticeship!
A bit about the job:
The Corporate Governance Trainee will provide support to the team by engaging in various operational activities and learning about governance practices and technology management. This role is designed to build foundational skills in subsidiary governance, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and technology utilisation, contributing to the overall success of the team. The role will focus on understanding and applying the principles of good subsidiary governance while utilising data and technology to provide solutions across the function, enhancing the team’s current use and maintenance. Provides support across the Subsidiary Governance & Operations team to ensure strategic projects are being managed and delivered to time.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Knowledge of corporate governance requirements and its application across subsidiaries
Interest in operational management and process improvement within a subsidiary governance context
Understanding of technology optimisation and its application in governance functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process inefficiencies
Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and facilitate training sessions.

Starting salary £35,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
