Counter Fraud Investigator – Motor claims – Salary circa £28,000

A bit about the job

Fraud affects everyone. That's why our Counter Fraud team plays such an important role in protecting our customers and our business. As a Counter Fraud Investigator, you'll investigate suspected personal lines motor insurance fraud, helping us identify genuine claims and prevent financial loss. You'll work with colleagues, customers and industry partners to gather evidence, make informed decisions and deliver fair outcomes. Your work will help us protect honest customers while maintaining high standards of governance and customer care. You'll be responsible for managing investigations from start to finish and delivering measurable counter-fraud benefits.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience handling Motor Claims.
  • Investigation skills with the ability to assess evidence and make balanced decisions and insurance counter fraud experience are desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience building effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and deliver outcomes within agreed timescales, ability to manage own caseload.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Road Traffic Act 1988, Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act 2012, and financial crime obligations.

  • Salary circa £28,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
