Cyber Security Manager
Salary: Circa £95,000
Location: Bristol
This is a great job for someone who…
…is passionate about shaping the future of cyber security in a complex, evolving environment.
Are you someone who thrives when building trusted relationships, influencing senior leaders and driving meaningful change?
Do you love bringing clarity, structure and strategic direction to cyber risk in large organisations?
This role could suit you if you’re an experienced cyber security leader ready for a step up, already operating in a senior advisory or leadership role, or you have deep expertise in cyber risk management within regulated environments.
If you’re motivated by leading diverse teams, shaping strategy and building a strong security culture, this could be your next move.
A bit about the job
We’re looking for a dynamic and forward thinking Cyber Security Manager to lead the cyber agenda across Aviva Group Functions.
The remit of Group Functions is at the Aviva Group level, so our ‘customers’ are essentially all Aviva Markets and Employees meaning it’s at the core of Aviva. The specific Business units that we align to are areas such as People Function, Finance, Legal and Corporate Security.
You’ll embed security at the heart of these key business areas, supporting both day-to-day operations and high-profile strategic change programmes.
In this visible and influential role, you’ll help safeguard our digital assets, provide clear and actionable reporting, and champion a strong culture of cyber resilience.
Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll guide our cyber posture as regulatory expectations and threat landscapes continue to evolve — helping shape the direction of the organisation.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Proven experience leading cyber security functions in complex, regulated environments.
Strong expertise in cyber risk management, regulatory compliance and security control frameworks.
Ability to translate business needs into clear and effective cyber security strategies.
Inclusive leadership style and experience managing diverse teams across both line and matrix models.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence influencing senior and executive leaders.
