Salary: Circa £50K

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in automation, scripting and security operations, who’s ready to take the next step and make a real impact in a collaborative, fast-paced team. 

A bit about the job: 

You’ll join our Perimeter Security team within Cyber Protection Services, helping to protect Aviva by strengthening our external security controls.  

Your focus will be on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate automation, Web Application Firewall (WAF) operations, and domain protection. 

You’ll investigate traffic, analyse data, maintain and improve services, and take action against fraudsters trying to misuse the Aviva brand. 

It’s a hands-on role where what you do directly keeps our customers and business safe. You’ll also be part of a 24/7 on-call rota, responding to security incidents when it matters most. 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

• Experience with automation, scripting and query languages 

• Strong understanding of IT security principles and an interest in protection services 

• Confident communicator, able to explain technical topics clearly 

• Analytical mindset – comfortable working with data and drawing insights 

• Self-motivated, curious, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done

• Salary Circa: £50000 (depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications).
