Data Quality and Data Management Specialist

Location: Norwich, Leeds or Bristol

Salary: Circa £55k


This is a great role for someone who enjoys improving data quality, solving business problems and working with a wide range of stakeholders. A bit about the job:

Data is at the heart of how we understand our customers, manage risk, and make informed business decisions across UK General Insurance. As a Data Quality Manager, you'll play an important role in improving the quality, accuracy and integrity of data across our Personal and Commercial Lines businesses.


Working as part of the UKGI Data Governance and Protection team, you'll collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Engineers and business stakeholders to monitor data quality, identify improvement opportunities, and support the resolution of data issues. You'll help develop and maintain data quality controls, reporting and governance processes, ensuring critical business data can be trusted and used effectively.


This is an excellent opportunity to work across a wide range of business areas and contribute to strengthening Aviva's data culture and decision-making capabilities.

 

Skills and experience we're looking for:


  • Experience in Data Quality, Data Governance or Data Management, with a strong understanding of data quality principles, controls and best practice. A Data management certifications such as CDMP or DCAM would be beneficial.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to analyse data quality issues, identify root causes and work with stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams and present insights to a range of audiences.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.

  • Starting salary Circa £55k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
