An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Assistant to support the UK&I GI Chief Financial Officer, based in London. This is a high-profile, business critical role at the centre of UKGI Finance.
You’ll act as a trusted partner to the UK&I GI CFO, working closely with the senior Finance Management Team and wider Aviva network to ensure priorities are delivered at pace and with precision. The role offers regular exposure to ExCo level leadership, including facilitating critical cross-business deliverables and opportunities to provide cover support to the Group CFO and GI CEO, making it a unique platform to operate at senior C-suite level.
You will thrive in a fast-moving environment, using strong judgement, discretion and a proactive approach to anticipate needs, navigate competing priorities and ensure the smooth running of the CFO office.
A bit about the job
Acting as a trusted partner to the UKGI CFO and Finance Business Manager, this role ensures seamless day-to-day support across the CFO office, combining proactive problem solving with strong organisational oversight. You will manage a complex diary and inbox, prioritising effectively to maximise the CFO’s time while anticipating needs and adapting to shifting priorities. You will support the CFO office to tackle issues, meet critical deadlines, and logistically facilitate leadership forums, Board engagement, and other governance activity.
Alongside managing travel and logistics, you will lead the planning and delivery of large-scale finance events (c.350 attendees), as well as leadership meetings and offsites, ensuring smooth coordination and clear communication across teams. You will maintain organised systems, manage expenses and support budget oversight, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The role also includes oversight of the UKGI Finance EA community, managing Workday and IT approvals, drafting communications on behalf of the CFO and supporting risk and control management.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Proven experience supporting senior or C-suite leaders as an Executive Assistant
- Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex financial environment
- Confident communicator, able to engage and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- High level of discretion, integrity and professionalism with a flexible and adaptable approach to working
