A bit about the job

We’re looking for an experienced Finance Project Manager to lead delivery across the Governance & Target Operating Model (TOM) workstream within our Data & Modelling Control (DMC) Programme.

This is a key role within a Finance transformation programme focused on strengthening the end-to-end control environment across data journeys, from Policy Administration Systems (PAS) through to Model Point File (MPF) production and actuarial models.

You’ll play a pivotal role in taking governance and operating model designs from concept through to implementation, ensuring clear accountability, effective controls and sustainable ways of working are embedded across the business.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Control, Audit and Technology, you’ll drive delivery, coordinate multiple teams and ensure governance arrangements are effectively implemented and transitioned into Business as Usual (BAU).

Skills and experience we’re looking for
  • Significant experience delivering large-scale Finance transformation or regulatory change programmes within Financial Services.

  • Proven experience implementing Target Operating Models, governance frameworks or control transformation initiatives.

  • Demonstrable experience taking TOM designs through to practical implementation and embedding changes into BAU.

  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, controls and regulatory expectations.

  • Experience implementing accountability frameworks, RACI models and governance structures across multiple teams.

  • Experience delivering audit, regulatory, risk or control remediation programmes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across multiple functions.

  • Strong planning, delivery management, dependency management and governance reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to translate complex recommendations into structured delivery plans and measurable outcomes.

  • Confident challenging stakeholders, driving accountability and navigating complex organisational environments.

  • Experience working across Finance, Risk, Actuarial and Control functions.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of Governance & TOM initiatives within the Data & Modelling Control Programme.

  • Develop and manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, actions and governance reporting.

  • Drive the implementation of Target Operating Model recommendations and governance improvements.

  • Coordinate the implementation of accountability frameworks, RACI models and decision-making structures.

  • Facilitate workshops to define current-state and future-state governance arrangements and operating models.

  • Work with Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Control and Technology teams to establish clear ownership and accountability across end-to-end processes.

  • Drive the implementation of governance forums, management information, reporting and escalation mechanisms.

  • Support the design and embedding of control frameworks and operational controls.

  • Coordinate multiple control owners and stakeholder groups to ensure actions are delivered effectively.

  • Manage organisational change impacts arising from governance, accountability and operating model changes.

  • Ensure programme governance, reporting and decision-making processes operate effectively.

  • Support the transition of programme outcomes into sustainable BAU ownership.

  • Ensure delivery outcomes meet audit, regulatory, risk and control expectations.

  • Work with internal stakeholders and external advisers to deliver governance and control remediation activities.

Desirable experience
  • Experience delivering audit, regulatory remediation or control framework implementation programmes.

  • Experience working within Finance transformation programmes involving actuarial, data or modelling environments.

  • Previous experience working across complex Financial Services organisations with multiple business and control functions.
