About the Role:
As a Financial Crime Analyst, you will play a crucial role in protecting Aviva and our customers from financial crimes such as fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion and bribery. You will help Aviva manage these risks, ensuring we remain compliant with financial regulations and industry standards.
You’ll gain practical skills, real-world experience and be supported through professional qualifications.
Embarking on an apprenticeship is a structured journey that combines on-the-job training with related virtual classroom-based learning. 80% of your time will be spent getting hands-on experience in your day-to-day role, and 20% of your time will be dedicated to your apprenticeship studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Work with various teams to share information and ensure effective financial crime prevention efforts.
- Customer Focus: Support the delivery of good customer outcomes through all activities, ensuring we act in good faith towards customers and help them achieve their financial objectives.
- Data Analysis: Gather and analyse data to identify patterns and trends related to financial crime risk.
- Risk Identification: Review internal controls to identify potential risks and conduct research to apply appropriate regulatory, contractual, and industry requirements.
- Reporting: Create and maintain accurate records of investigations and outcomes, prepare detailed reports and presentations.
- Training & Development: Participate in training programs and various projects to stay up-to-date with new financial crime trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

What you’ll need:
To join us on a Level 3 Apprenticeship, you’ll need (or be on track to achieve) at least five GCSEs at grades A*-C (9-4) or have equivalent qualifications. These must include English and Maths.
We’re also looking for strong communicators with a genuine customer focus. We believe that understanding our customers’ needs is key to delivering exceptional service. So, if you’re someone who thrives on building relationships and feels comfortable engaging with people at all levels, you’ll fit right in.

You will also:
- have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for at least 3 years by the start of the apprenticeship in September 2025.
- be eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship.
- be available for full time work from September 2025 when all our apprentice roles start.
