Financial Investments Accountant

We are searching for an enthusiastic and experienced accountant, preferably with experience in investment reporting or fund accounting. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in financial markets and be looking to further their career and develop their skills in our expanding Investment Reporting and Operations team.

A bit about the job:

This role sits within Aviva’s Investment Reporting team, a key function responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial and regulatory reporting on over £400bn of investment assets. You’ll help ensure the integrity of financial data used across the business, supporting areas like Finance, Actuarial, and Risk. The role involves preparing IFRS and Solvency II reports, operating robust controls, and contributing to strategic change initiatives. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 5+ years of experience – preferably in fund accounting, financial investment accounting/reporting, or investment operations.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems (e.g. Oracle FCCS).
  • An understanding of investment instruments and the investment lifecycle from trade to reporting.
  • Ability to work at pace on large datasets, applying strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Hands-on experience with or a back-office environment would be preferred.

  • Salary around £52,000  - depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
