Gen AI Delivery Lead
We’ve an exciting opportunity within Aviva Ireland to help shape and deliver our AI strategy. You’ll work closely with teams across Aviva Ireland and Aviva Group, collaborating on cutting‑edge AI initiatives that support our shared ambition to innovate and continuously improve how we work.

Reporting to the Head of Data & AI, you’ll lead the design and delivery of practical AI solutions that help us work smarter, faster and more effectively.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the business to adopt new technologies, build confidence in emerging tools and deliver better outcomes for our customers and our people.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the development, refinement and deployment of generative AI models and RAG‑based solutions, ensuring they are robust, scalable and aligned to business needs.
Work closely with data teams, engineers, data scientists and business teams to ensure AI solutions are integrated effectively into operational processes.
Oversee data strategy and governance activities to support high‑quality model development, ensuring compliance with privacy, security and regulatory requirements.
Stay up to date with advancements in AI and identify opportunities to introduce new approaches that enhance effectiveness and efficiency (e.g. Agentic AI use cases).
Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers, helping to develop skills, confidence and technical excellence within the team.
Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding and hands-on experience in AI technologies, including machine learning and generative AI (e.g. OpenAI, Microsoft, Snowflake AI, AWS Bedrock).
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects in a regulated environment, ideally with experience of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Strong data management skills, including data collection, pre‑processing, quality assurance and governance.
Excellent problem‑solving ability, with a track record of identifying issues and designing innovative solutions.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a range of technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
