We’re searching for an enthusiastic and determined Governance and Operations Manager to join our dynamic Group Centre team, supporting the Finance function. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in driving Aviva’s strategic ambitions, working closely with senior leaders and teams across the group.

This role could be perfect for someone with experience in insurance operations, risk and control management, and/or change management, who’s ready to step into a pivotal position supporting a regulated reinsurer. A bit about the job:

This Governance and Operations Manager role sits within Aviva International Insurance (AII), a captive reinsurer writing both Life and GI business. AII plays a critical role in Aviva’s success, and this role supports the Head of Governance and Operations to ensure the business runs effectively and efficiently. You’ll manage key operational MI, support data governance, manage key risks and controls and act as PMO on strategic projects, helping align corporate activities with Board and management priorities. You’ll be part of a small, agile team with exposure to senior leaders and a wide range of stakeholders across Aviva.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experience in operations, PMO, or similar roles within insurance or financial services
• Strong data management, risk and control management, and IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confident communicator who can work with senior stakeholders
• A proactive, adaptable approach and a problem-solving mindset

• Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
