Salary: London Circa £85K National Circa £75K

Location: London, Bristol, York or Norwich

Do you love turning data into meaningful business value?

This is a great job for someone with deep Collibra expertise who enjoys working at the crossroads of data management, technology and business. You might be a Collibra Product Owner, Metadata Manager, Data Governance Lead or Senior SME looking for an opportunity to shape metadata strategy across a major FTSE organisation. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, influencing stakeholders and helping organisations get more value from their data, we'd love to hear from you.

A bit about the job:

You'll join Aviva's Group Chief Data Office (GCDO) and play a key role in shaping how metadata is managed across the business.

As our Group Metadata Manager, you'll be a vital part of defining the roadmap, adoption and ongoing development of the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, helping colleagues make better use of trusted, accessible and governed data.

Working closely with stakeholders across data, technology, risk and business teams, you'll turn requirements into practical solutions that support Aviva's data strategy. You'll drive platform improvements, influence best practice and help build a strong metadata management capability that delivers real value across the organisation.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Commercially demonstrable hands-on expertise with Collibra DIC, including metamodels, asset configuration, permissions, and complex user requirements at a large Collibra customer in a regulated industry such as financial services, banking, insurance, health or life sciences. Preferably certified as a Collibra Ranger, Collibra Solutions Architect, Collibra Workflow Developer, or a Collibra Integration Engineer

  • Deep demonstrable commercial expertise in designing and evolving Collibra operating and asset models to support enterprise data governance and metadata management capabilities. Able to assess architectural and engineering changes impacting Collibra and its integrations, whilst driving metadata adoption and influencing technical enablement across business and technology teams. This must be rooted in strong idiomatic experience of Collibra functionality and a solid understanding of Collibra REST/Java APIs, connectors, integrations as well as the ability to review Collibra workflows at a BPMN process level with sufficient understanding of Groovy and GitOps-style source control practices

  • Proven product management or product ownership experience with a strong track record of managing product roadmaps, prioritising backlogs, demands, defining requirements, managing comms/releases and delivering business value in an Agile environment

  • Strong understanding of database concepts, data architecture, data products, data pipeline and data engineering practices, with ability to engage effectively and credibly with DBAs, Data Engineers, Architects, and Platform teams to understand data structures, metadata, lineage, integrations, and data flows across a hybrid enterprise landscape

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with proven experience engaging senior stakeholders, leading governance forums and working groups, and producing concise, visually compelling executive-level materials that drive informed decision-making and action
