Do you love blending deep Collibra expertise with real business impact?

This is a great job for someone who thrives at the intersection of data management, stakeholder engagement and enterprise‑wide adoption of new capabilities. If you enjoy solving complex metadata challenges, converting business requirements into Collibra workflows and solutions, influencing best practice, and helping a large organisation unlock meaningful value from its Collibra implementation, then this role is for you.

A bit about the job:

We’re looking for a Group Metadata Specialist with deep Collibra expertise to help drive the adoption, use and ongoing evolution of the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform across Aviva Group. Sitting within the central Group Chief Data Office (GCDO) in Group Data Management, you’ll work with teams across GCDO and the business to deliver effective metadata management solutions rooted in Collibra governance functionality.

You’ll help stakeholders understand their metadata needs, assess the Collibra asset and operating model, embed Collibra solutions that align to enterprise standards, propose enablement of new Collibra functionality, and bring clarity to how metadata supports Aviva’s wider data strategy.

This is a hands-on role that requires deep Collibra expertise in designing processes from business requirements and turning them into effective Collibra workflows using the Collibra Workflow Designer. The role is ideal for someone who has been deeply hands-on and collaborated with the Product Owner, Architects and business stakeholders to design, build, configure, troubleshoot and document workflows within the Collibra Platform.

Skills and experience we are looking for

  • Advanced hands-on expertise with Collibra DIC, including metamodels, asset configuration, permissions, and complex user requirements. Preferably certified as a Collibra Workflow Developer or a Collibra Solutions Architect.
  • Strong and idiomatic experience designing, building, and customising Collibra workflows (BPMN 2.0), including custom development using Groovy/Java and API integrations, and the Collibra API libraries.
  • Proven ability to translate data governance and data management processes into scalable Collibra workflow solutions using Collibra or Flowable Workflow Designer.
  • Solid foundation in Collibra APIs (Java and REST), Git Ops / source control practices, ideally including rules-based decision frameworks (e.g. DMN, Drools).
  • Deep understanding of metadata types and Collibra governance best practices, with the ability to engage business stakeholders and drive metadata adoption, as well as identifying technical needs that require Platform Enablement.

What you’ll get for this role:
