Group Protection Scheme Underwriter
We’re looking for a Group Protection Scheme Underwriter to help us deliver high‑quality terms and pricing for our customers on a 8 month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll work closely with colleagues, reinsurers and pooling partners to produce quotes that reflect our underwriting philosophy. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values accuracy, insight and great service. Your expertise will help us build strong relationships, both internally and externally. This is a chance to make a real impact in a growing area of our business.
Duties & Responsibilities- Produce accurate ALPI terms, quotes and rate reviews for Group Protection schemes.
- Ensure all quotes meet reinsurer and pooling partner requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service within agreed service standards.
- Support IT testing and contribute to improving our digital underwriting journey.
- Distribute immediate quotes in line with our underwriting philosophy.
- Strong knowledge of Group Protection products and the broader Group Protection market.
- Analytical approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a Scheme Underwriting Team.
- QFA qualification or an actuarial background essential.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
