A bit about the job:

You’ll be the strategic senior finance partner to our Group CIO, guiding investment decisions and overseeing financial performance across technology operations and change initiatives. Your insights will help shape our technology strategy and ensure we deliver on our financial plans. You’ll lead a team across the UK and Sri Lanka, working closely with senior leaders across the business. This role is central to delivering value, driving efficiencies, and supporting Aviva’s long-term goals.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a senior finance leader partnering directly with a Group CIO or equivalent, providing strategic financial leadership and challenge.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a key member of a senior leadership team, influencing decisions across business units and markets.

  • Strong track record of shaping and overseeing technology investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals.

  • Deep understanding of technology operations, change delivery, and commercial management, including third-party vendor oversight.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex financial insights clearly and credibly to senior audiences.

What you’ll get for this role: 

  • Annual salary of c. £110,000 to £120,000 (depending on skills, experience, and location) 

  • Bonus opportunity of 25% (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.)
