A bit about the job:

Reporting to the Head of Underwriting Strategy & Governance, you'll help shape and evolve Aviva's HNW underwriting proposition, ensuring it remains commercially competitive, aligned with risk appetite and delivers great outcomes for customers and brokers.

You'll act as Aviva's HNW underwriting strategy specialist, bringing deep technical expertise, market insight and a strong understanding of broker requirements to support strategic decision-making. Working closely with Distribution, Pricing, Reinsurance, Proposition and the wider underwriting teams, you'll help translate strategic objectives into HNW underwriting solutions that support profitable growth.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Significant High Net Worth underwriting experience with strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of the HNW market. 

• Proven ability to develop and deliver underwriting strategies, balancing risk appetite, commercial objectives, growth opportunities and customer outcomes. 

• Strong risk assessment, decision-making and negotiation skills, with experience managing complex cases and influencing multiple stakeholders. 

• Excellent relationship management skills, with a track record of building effective partnerships with brokers, reinsurers, business partners and internal stakeholders. 

•  Strong analytical and commercial acumen, able to translate market insights and data into underwriting actions, business performance and profitable growth.
