We are growing our Motor Injury Team in Ballybrit, Galway, and we’re looking for experienced claims professionals to join us.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of motor injury claims from straightforward to complex cases, ensuring each is handled with care, efficiency, and technical accuracy.
  • Making confident, well-informed liability decisions and negotiating settlements that are fair, timely and cost-effective for both the customer and Aviva.
  • Providing clear, empathetic support to customers throughout the claims journey, helping them navigate what can be a difficult time with reassurance and clarity.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders including solicitors, medical professionals, and third-party providers to drive claims to resolution.
  • Demonstrate strong reserving and file estimation practices, while supporting customers with clear, compassionate communication throughout their claims journey.

What we’re looking for

  • APA (Personal & Commercial) or CIP qualification, with a strong foundation in injury claims handling and a solid understanding of the Irish claims landscape.
  • A strategic thinker and confident decision-maker, with the ability to assess complex information quickly and act decisively in the best interest of all parties.
  • A customer-first mindset, with a proven ability to manage sensitive conversations and deliver outcomes that balance empathy with commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence outcomes through collaboration.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with high learning agility and a desire to continuously improve your technical knowledge and professional development.
