Investment Governance Manager – Salary c. £45,000 to £60,000

 A bit about the job: 

 

The IWR Investments team helps drive improved outcomes for our customers by protecting and growing their assets, while also ensuring strong shareholder outcomes that support our ability to pay future claims. 

As an Investment Governance Manager, you’ll join a high-performing team focused on strengthening risk culture. You’ll work collaboratively to ensure risks and controls are clearly understood, documented, tested, and regularly reviewed, while providing valuable insight and support. 

This role exists to ensure effective governance across investment activities, supporting both operational resilience and regulatory expectations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining robust oversight of risks, controls, and related governance processes. 

 

 Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

  •  Proven experience in risk and controls management, governance, and applying frameworks and systems within a financial services environment  

  • Strong understanding of investment management processes and operations, including associated operational, regulatory, and outsourcing risks  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly explain complex issues to a range of audiences  

  • Demonstrable stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation capability, including effective engagement with senior stakeholders  

  • Highly developed organisational, planning, and delivery management skills, with the ability to provide oversight of contractual amendments and related governance processes

  • Starting salary between c. £45,000 and £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
