A bit about the job:
You’ll join our Strategic IT Contract Management Team, managing Aviva’s most important third-party IT suppliers. Your work will help us get the best from our supplier relationships, reduce third party risk, and deliver real value to the business. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues across IT, Procurement and other business areas, making sure our contracts are robust, and our suppliers deliver on their promises. This is your chance to shape how we work with our suppliers, drive best practice and make a real difference at Aviva.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring collaboration, alignment, and effective communication across all levels—including confident presentation of commercial positions and outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in contract management, with the capability to identify and mitigate contractual risks, manage disputes constructively, and ensure compliance within complex IT environments.
Strong negotiation skills, with a successful track record leading high‑value, complex IT agreement negotiations and navigating challenging commercial conversations to secure optimal outcomes.
Excellent communication and influencing abilities, able to present complex commercial and technical issues in a clear, compelling manner to diverse stakeholder groups and senior leadership.
Resilience and adaptability in high‑pressure environments, with experience managing competing priorities and overseeing contract exit, transition, and migration activities while delivering to tight deadline
