A bit about the job

We’re looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead delivery across the Data Workstream within our Data & Modelling Control (DMC) Programme.

This is a key role within a major Finance transformation programme focused on strengthening the end-to-end control environment across data journeys, from Policy Administration Systems (PAS) through to Model Point File (MPF) production and actuarial models.

The Data Workstream is focused on establishing trusted, controlled and traceable data journeys, ensuring source data is accurately understood, transformed, validated and delivered into actuarial models.

You'll play a pivotal role in driving complex data and technology initiatives across the full project lifecycle, working closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data and Finance teams to deliver effective solutions.

You'll be responsible for coordinating delivery from requirements and solution design through to build, testing, implementation and transition into Business as Usual (BAU), ensuring activities remain aligned with programme objectives and the wider enterprise data architecture.

Skills and experience we’re looking for
  • Proven experience delivering complex data and technology programmes within large organisations.

  • Strong understanding of the full IT project delivery lifecycle, from requirements and design through to build, testing and implementation.

  • Experience working with Architecture, Engineering, Data, Infrastructure and Testing teams.

  • Strong understanding of complex system, application and data dependencies.

  • Experience delivering data remediation, migration, re-platforming or technology modernisation programmes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Strong project planning, governance, risk management and delivery capabilities.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

  • Confident challenging stakeholders and driving delivery across multiple teams and workstreams.

  • Experience managing complex dependencies across Technology, Finance and wider business functions.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of complex data and technology change initiatives across the full IT delivery lifecycle.

  • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and budgets to ensure successful delivery.

  • Coordinate delivery activities across Data, Engineering, Architecture, Testing and Business teams.

  • Drive the implementation of end-to-end data lineage, transformation and control activities.

  • Ensure business requirements are translated into effective technical solutions that meet programme objectives.

  • Oversee solution design, build, testing, release and implementation activities.

  • Manage dependencies across Technology, Finance, Actuarial and wider business stakeholders.

  • Support the delivery of data remediation, migration, modernisation and re-platforming initiatives where required.

  • Ensure programme governance, reporting and stakeholder communications are maintained effectively.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI-enabled solutions and automation to improve delivery efficiency.

  • Support the establishment of sustainable data controls and operating models that can be successfully transitioned into BAU.

  • Ensure delivery remains aligned with programme milestones and the evolving enterprise data architecture.

Desirable experience
  • Experience working within Financial Services, particularly within Finance or Actuarial environments.

  • Exposure to AI, automation or data-led transformation initiatives.

  • Experience delivering data lineage, data governance or data quality and control improvements.

  • Previous experience working on large-scale data transformation or technology modernisation programmes.
