IT Vendor Governance Specialist
We’re looking for an IT Vendor Governance Specialist to support the effective management of our technology suppliers within a regulated financial services environment. In this role, you’ll focus on the day‑to‑day governance and oversight of IT vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, strong data controls and effective service delivery.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across IT, Risk, Procurement and Finance to support supplier onboarding, manage ongoing assurance activities and monitor vendor performance. The role is well‑suited to someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, applying regulatory and data controls in practice, and taking ownership of supplier issues through to resolution
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate IT supplier onboarding, due diligence and risk assessments in line with CPC and internal governance requirements
- Support ongoing vendor governance activities, including assurance reviews, issue tracking and supplier engagement
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs, escalating issues where required
- Work with IT, Risk and Procurement colleagues to maintain effective data, resilience and operational controls
- Prepare clear MI and reporting on vendor performance, data risks and compliance for senior stakeholders
Skills & Experiences:
- Experience in IT vendor management, third‑party risk, outsourcing governance or operational risk within financial services
- Working knowledge of regulatory expectations relating to CPC compliance, data controls and supplier risk (e.g DORA, CP138, CP140)
- Practical experience supporting supplier onboarding and ongoing due diligence or assurance activity
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier data, performance metrics and risk information
- Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams
