Legal Indemnity/Title Underwriter

This is a great job for someone who has underwriting experience and enjoys balancing strong customer outcomes with commercial success. You'll be confident making risk-based decisions, building relationships with brokers and customers, and working collaboratively with colleagues to find the right solutions. This role would suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and using their technical expertise to support business growth. 

A bit about the job: 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our underwriting team and help grow profitable business while delivering great outcomes for customers and brokers. You'll assess and underwrite new business, making confident decisions within agreed authority levels. Working closely with colleagues and partners, you'll build strong relationships and provide technical expertise to support customer needs. You'll identify opportunities to improve processes and services, helping us work more effectively as a team. Through your expertise and decision-making, you'll support profitable growth while ensuring good customer outcomes and regulatory compliance. 

Skills and experience we're looking for: 

• Experience underwriting title insurance business and making sound risk-based decisions. 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers, brokers and colleagues. 

• Ability to analyse information and make decisions within agreed authority levels. 

• Good understanding of regulatory requirements and customer outcomes. 

• Experience identifying improvements to processes, procedures or services.
