A bit about the job:
You’ll assess customer applications and make clear, confident decisions that align with our underwriting philosophy. You’ll use your expertise to support high standards of service and help colleagues grow their technical skills. You’ll join a friendly, supportive team that works closely together to deliver a brilliant experience for customers and partners. You’ll also spot opportunities to improve how we work and help bring those improvements to life. Above all, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our underwriting approach is consistent, fair and focused on great outcomes for our customers.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong UK Life Insurance underwriting experience, with solid technical knowledge of protection products.
Ability to make clear, fair and confident decisions that put the customer first.
Experience supporting colleagues’ growth through coaching, mentoring or guiding less experienced underwriters.
Strong problem‑solving skills, with the confidence to work with others to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Awareness of relevant legislation and underwriting principles, with a willingness to share knowledge and support continuous improvement.
