A bit about the job:

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our brokers and customers to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, ensuring we deliver tailored insurance solutions and excellent customer outcomes. You'll build and maintain strong broker relationships, manage your own portfolio of business, and demonstrate excellent organisation and time management skills within a fast-paced trading environment, including regular face-to-face broker meetings.

This role sits within our London team; however, we are also open to candidates who would prefer to be based from our Chelmsford office, while remaining aligned to and supported by the London team.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Previous Motor Trade underwriting experience (including knowledge of road, property, and liability risks).
• Strong ability to analyse risks and communicate recommendations effectively to brokers and customers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a large and complex organisation.
• Strong trading capability with a broad broker panel and a good understanding of FCA requirements and relevant regulation and legislation.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and contribute to business growth.
