A bit about the job
The Newsroom Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our always-on marketing communications strategy. Reporting to the Content Lead they will lead the strategic planning, governance and day-to-day operation of our editorial newsrooms, making sure content is aligned to business priorities, customer needs and key market moments.
Responsible for running multiple newsrooms to deliver a customer first content strategy, they will act as the vital connection between our Marketing and CX teams, Go to Market and Digital.
Working with our Content Managers, this role is responsible for shifting content from reactive production to proactive, newsroom led storytelling. This includes balancing long-term planning with the agility to respond to cultural, commercial and customer led opportunities.
They will own the editorial newsroom agenda, translating business and customer priorities into clear, structured content plans, while upholding editorial standards, principles and ways of working across the Content team and wider contributors.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Experience running an editorial function or always-on content operation cross multi products or propositions
- Strong editorial judgement and ability to make fast, confident decisions
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex content requirements into high-level ‘content roadmaps’
- Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced marcomms/content environments
- Strong understanding of content performance, audience insight and how insight informs optimisation and planning.

- Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
