Ready to step into a leadership role that blends data-driven decision-making with people development?
Whether your background is in pricing, underwriting, claims, or data science, this is a unique opportunity to broaden your impact and grow into a strategic management position.
A bit about the job:
As a Pricing Manager in our UK General Insurance Home Category, you’ll lead a team of 8 Pricing Consultants, guiding them through complex analysis and strategic pricing decisions. This is a true step-up opportunity — ideal for someone ready to take on a 50/50 split between hands-on pricing work and people leadership.
You’ll coach and develop a relatively junior team, helping them build confidence and capability in pricing. You’ll also work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Claims, GIA, and CUO teams — presenting insights, walking through data and PowerPoint decks, and influencing key decisions.
This role offers broad exposure across the insurance market, with the chance to build your profile and gain experience beyond the Home business line. We welcome candidates from other personal lines or claims backgrounds who bring strong product knowledge and a commercial mindset.
A bit about the job:
- Strategic Pricing Leadership: Shape and evolve pricing strategies that balance commercial success with customer fairness.
- Performance Management: Monitor key indicators like claims ratios and COR, driving continuous improvement through data-led insights.
- Team Coaching & Development: Engage, mentor, and support a junior team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders, translating complex analysis into clear, actionable insights.
- Governance & Conduct: Embed fair customer outcomes and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in pricing, underwriting, or claims within personal lines insurance (Home, Motor, or other transferable lines).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate it effectively.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring others, with a passion for team development.
- Comfortable presenting and discussing insights with senior stakeholders.
- Awareness of governance and conduct risk in pricing decisions.
