Principal Category Manager - Infrastructure & Security

Location: London, Norwich or York based – 50% hybrid working

Salary: circa £80,000  (national) - circa £90,000 (London) DOE

A bit about the job:

This role leads a team of procurement professionals focused on IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity. You’ll shape and deliver sourcing strategies that support Aviva’s technology and architecture goals. Working closely with IT and business teams, you’ll manage supplier relationships and unlock commercial value. You’ll also be part of the Procurement Leadership Team, helping drive progress and performance across the function. Your work will directly support Aviva’s strategic ambitions.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Significant experience and a proven track record of delivering Commercial or Category Management within a demanding, fast evolving environment, preferably with knowledge of some of the categories in scope: IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity 
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and managing complex sourcing processes whilst utilising internal and supplier relationships to deliver cost savings and value to the business  
  • Strong communicator with excellent negotiation and influencing skills to develop and negotiate complex agreements 
  • CIPS qualification and previous exposure to SAP Ariba platform desirable
