Turn AI programme data into better decisions
Aviva's Chief AI Office sits at the centre of an enterprise-wide transformation spanning markets, functions and customer journeys. It connects strategy with delivery, adoption and governance, helping the business apply AI faster, more safely and with clearer evidence of value. You'll join while the function is taking shape, helping establish how Aviva moves from individual AI opportunities to responsible, measurable change at scale.
Good programme decisions depend on accurate information, clear analysis and visible evidence of value. In this AI portfolio analyst opportunity, you'll create the integrated view that helps leaders understand progress, investment, benefits, dependencies and risk across Aviva's AI transformation.
A bit about the job:
As a Programme Analyst, you’ll be the operational anchor of Aviva’s transformation, acting as the glue across teams to track progress, surface key insights and remove blockers. Your day-to-day will be rooted in delivering core programme reporting and robust project governance, turning complex delivery data into crystal-clear executive dashboards and reliable benefits tracking. Working closely with the Head of AI Programme Delivery, Domain Leads, Finance, CIO and the wider Chief AI Office, you’ll champion a culture of identifying and mitigating risks, providing the rigorous decision support needed to back our mission with traceable evidence.
You'll be responsible for:
- Building and improving dashboards covering portfolio health, milestones, dependencies, risk, investment and benefits
- Maintaining the integrated programme plan and identifying critical-path movement and emerging delivery pressure
- Producing concise progress reports and governance materials for programme leaders and senior stakeholders
- Tracking forecast and realised benefits, costs and evidence of value across the portfolio
- Analysing trends, variances and root causes, turning data into practical options and recommendations
- Improving data quality, simplifying controls and automating repeatable reporting where it adds value.
- Measured on: Timely benefit realization, cost discipline, as well as contribution to team goals such as speed of AI deployment (from idea to production), enterprise AI portfolio compliance level with risk standards, enterprise AI adoption
You'll bring experience in many of these areas:
- Experience in a programme analyst, PMO, portfolio reporting or enterprise delivery role
- Strong programme-controls capability across plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and actions
- Experience producing dashboards, governance packs and concise reporting for senior stakeholders
- Analytical skills across trends, variance, benefits, investment and value tracking
- The confidence to challenge incomplete information and secure high-quality inputs from busy stakeholders
- Experience in a complex transformation, financial services or regulated environment would be useful.
Why Aviva?
AI is already making a difference across Aviva through areas such as claims summarisation, medical underwriting, customer service and fraud detection. The Chief AI Office is creating a reliable enterprise view of the investment, delivery, benefits, dependencies and risk behind that activity.
Across a business serving more than 25 million customers globally, your analysis will help leaders prioritise attention, test confidence in benefits and intervene where delivery, dependencies or evidence are off track.
