Regional Financial Lines Underwriter – Salary is competitive
Location – Ideally based in the West Midlands or South West/ Wales but can be flexible for the right person. You must be a commutable distance to an Aviva office.
Due to recent growth and expansion, the Aviva Regional Speciality Lines team are looking for a Regional Financial Lines Underwriter, primarily responsible for Financial Lines Underwriting to support the profitable development of our book of business.
This is a role built to support our regional capability as we continue to successfully grow our Financial Lines offering for our Regional Brokers, and support succession planning from within the business..
The role’s duties & responsibilities:
Working as part of a network of teams to deliver profitable growth of our UK Financial Lines regional proposition.
Retaining renewal business and driving growth and new business by trading and providing a first-class service to our customers/brokers. Broker development and relationship management of panel, facility and open market brokers. Existing renewal caseload management and underwriting within Aviva underwriting authority framework.
Including but not limited to, underwriting D&O, Management Liability, Pension Trustee Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Commercial Crime. Ownership and accountability of facility and non-facility business, accountable for growth, yield, book & relationship management.
Acting as an ambassador for Aviva, promoting and growing business through building a network of broker and external relationships. Networking and collaboration within Aviva at all levels of the business - including senior leadership and stakeholders, underwriting assistants, business development and SME platform facilities.
Supporting senior underwriters and technical business leads for portfolio management, reporting & accountability of such. Commitment to continuous improvement and support of exemplary customer outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Skills & experiences required:
Strong underwriting experience across the Financial Lines product suite, including but not limited to D&O, Management Liability, Pension Trustee Liability, Employment Practices Liability and Commercial Crime including underwriting of complex global accounts but also knowledge of the SME online platform space.
Underwriting ability in Cyber, Financial Institutions or Tech PI, PI advantageous
ACII desirable
Track record of being responsible for own underwriting caseload within a regulatory environment, following due process and within set authority limits
Strong internal & external customer engagement skills in order to influence key contacts in the marketplace

Salary is Competitive (depending on skills, experience and qualifications).
