We're looking for a Regional Underwriting Manager to lead our London Market & South East Mid-Market Underwriting portfolio. This is a high-profile leadership opportunity where you'll be responsible for underwriting performance across a significant regional portfolio, balancing strong broker relationships, trading excellence, and disciplined underwriting to deliver sustainable growth.

A bit about the job:

As a key member of the regional leadership team, you'll play a vital role in shaping underwriting strategy, driving portfolio performance, and creating an environment where underwriters can thrive and develop.

Working closely with colleagues across underwriting, distribution, pricing and sales, you'll use market insight and performance data to identify growth opportunities, enhance underwriting outcomes, and ensure the successful delivery of regional financial objectives.

You'll also champion underwriting excellence, providing visible leadership and coaching to your team while helping to shape and deliver Aviva's wider underwriting ambitions.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Significant underwriting experience within the Commercial, London Market or Mid-Market insurance sector
• Strong portfolio management capability, with experience managing underwriting performance and financial outcomes
• Ability to interpret data, market trends and portfolio insights to drive informed decision-making and identify growth opportunities
• Proven people leadership experience, with a strong track record of developing, coaching, and motivating high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with brokers, customers and colleagues across the business
