Risk & Compliance Business Partner – Transformation

This is a great job for someone who is looking to deepen their Business Partnering, Compliance and Risk Management experience while playing a pivotal role in one of Aviva’s most strategically important transformation programmes. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, thrives in a fast-paced and complex change environment, and is keen to provide robust risk oversight and independent challenge. Experience in risk management, compliance, business partnering, or large-scale transformation programmes would be highly beneficial, along with an interest in developing expertise across change risk, conduct risk, operational resilience, outsourcing and data integrity.

A bit about the job:

Aviva’s Risk & Compliance function partners with the business to ensure strategic delivery is supported by effective and pragmatic risk management. We focus on enabling sustainable growth through balanced risk‑taking, high‑quality data driven decision‑making, and a strong control environment.

Working alongside the Senior Risk Business Partners, you’ll provide second line oversight of a major transformation programme, supporting workstreams to identify, assess and manage risks throughout the change lifecycle. You’ll engage with programme leaders, 3rd parties, business SMEs and risk colleagues to provide pragmatic challenge, support effective governance and help ensure successful delivery within risk appetite. This role will appeal to someone who enjoys variety, building relationships and working in a fast-paced environment where they can influence meaningful outcomes.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience in Risk, Compliance, Operational Risk, Governance, Audit or a related Financial Services discipline, with strong judgement and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Hands on experience supporting or overseeing change, transformation, business improvement or third-party initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify emerging risks, trends and key insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge.
  • Pragmatic and collaborative approach, balancing risk management requirements with business objectives.

  • Salary circa £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
