A bit about the job:

This role sits within Aviva’s Cloud Engineering team, supporting platform teams across the organisation to modernise their estate through containerised and serverless solutions. You’ll lead the design and development of reusable patterns, provide expert consultancy during migrations, and ensure secure, resilient, and cost-effective solutions. You’ll also act as a technical mentor and collaborate across teams to align with strategic initiatives like security and observability.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Proven hands-on experience building and supporting AWS EKS/ECS clusters, and serverless technologies
• Strong knowledge of Helm, GitOps (FluxCD/ArgoCD), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK – Python)
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash) and a commitment to automation and secure coding practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement

• Salary National Circa £70,000 and London £95,000 based (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
