Salary: Circa £65,000

This is a great job for someone who wants to play a key role to drive the incident response life cycle for serious cyber incidents by ensuring that the relevant parts of the business are engaged and activated to undertake the actions needed to reduce impact on our business.
Working as part of the Group Cyber Security Incident Management function the role will provide Cyber Incident Management services to Aviva markets, supporting regulatory, IT Security best practice, policy, and business requirements.

This is now the mindset that cyber security professionals must adopt to deal with persistent and capable adversaries. We need to detect and respond to a breach quickly, contain it and understand what has happened to minimise the impact on the business.
Skilful detection and response depend on having the right people, processes, and technologies in place to respond quickly and effectively to breaches.
A bit about the job:
This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to work at the forefront of cyber defence operations, delivering D&R’s and Aviva’s wider mission through reducing the impact of cyber incidents.
You’ll drive the response to higher severity cyber incidents through the best practice life cycle and ensure root cause analysis is performed to support improvement of our controls.
The role focuses on stakeholder engagement and coordination and whilst we seek candidates with a strong Incident
Management or Response background, we are also looking for someone who has strong cyber security and risk management demonstrable experience.
The way we operate is evolving, and you’ll have an opportunity to influence decisions regarding our capability development roadmap. This is a role with expectations of previous experience in incident response and or incident management.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Incident commander to lead, manage and own high severity cyber security incidents, directing effective and timely response activities through a coordinated and structured approach across business stakeholder
Strong awareness of incident response principles and a technical understanding of how Threat Actors operate. Adept at collating and reviewing both technical and non-technical information to ensure that response actions are appropriate and delivered in a timely manner.
Ability to act autonomously as well as part of the team. Taking ownership of the work, protecting the business and customers by managing the risk effectively
Strong written reporting and verbal communication skills; in particular the ability to deliver appropriate information across the spectrum of incident resolver group participant
Be an active member of the out of hours on call team, providing 24/7 incident support.
Technical skills we’re looking for
Expectations of previous experience in incident response and or incident management
Ideally at least one of the following certifications, such as GCIH, GCIA, CEH, CISSP, CySA+ or similar
Nice to have, a degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

Salary: Circa £65000 (depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications).
