As a Senior IT Business Partner, you’ll work closely with our General Insurance (GI) division to deliver end-to-end technology solutions. You’ll be a trusted advisor, helping shape our IT strategy and ensuring our services meet business needs, alongside exercising your excellent leadership skills to develop and motivate a team of Technology focused PMs and BAs. 

 

A bit about the job 

 

This role exists to connect our GI business with the right technology solutions! You’ll lead a team of up to 7 and be part of a larger collaborative business-partnering department that supports strategic planning and service delivery, representing IT in leadership meetings and helping shape our 3 - 5year technology roadmap, driving service management, operational stability, and resilience.  
 

Everyday you will act as a ‘mini-CIO’ working closely with senior stakeholders to understand their technology-related requirements and provide expert advice - your work will directly impact operational resilience, customer journeys, and innovation and you’ll be accountable for delivering measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement! 

 

Skills and experience we’re looking for: 

  • Exposure to working as a Senior IT professional within a large, matrixed Financial Services, Consultancy or similar corporate environment - GI experience would be highly desirable!  

  • Strong leadership experience i.e., recent team management experience within technology business partnering   

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills (up to MD level), as well as the ability to collaborate and deliver through other teams 

  • Technology & innovation focused mindset i.e., keeping your finger on the pulse in relation to IT trends and practices.  

  • Knowledge of “software as a service” within a commercial business
