A bit about the job

As our Senior Policy and Technical Advice Lead, you’ll help shape the future of Aviva’s guidance and advice services. You’ll work closely with teams across Aviva Wealth and with external advisers to ensure our advice policies, technology and processes are robust, compliant and built around what customers need most.

You’ll be the expert who defines how our advice and guidance works — setting clear parameters, developing our rules engines, and making sure our approach keeps pace with regulation and the wider market. You’ll also play a key role in the ongoing development of the technology that powers our propositions.

This is a senior role, ideal for someone who’s FCA Level 4 qualified (preferred) with strong experience in advice, guidance, regulatory risk, compliance or financial advice environments. Experience creating digital advice or guidance solutions is a real advantage.

You’ll regularly work with internal teams and adviser partners, so communicating clearly and simply will be essential. Most importantly, you’ll help us deliver guidance and advice that’s consistent, trusted and truly customer‑focused — supporting better outcomes, stronger adviser relationships and sustainable growth for Aviva.

Skills and experience we're looking for 

You will have significant experience within advice guidance, regulatory risk, compliance, or financial advice environments and in depth Advice proposition knowledge.

  • Experience developing digital guidance and advice is preferred

  • Ability to define and communicate new ideas and develop complex requirements

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building as well as the ability to collaborate and deliver through other teams

  • A very good understanding the regulators principles and handbook alongside Aviva’s product development and risk and governance frameworks

  • A good understanding of the rules and regulations governing savings and investment products

  • Salary National circa £80,000/London circa £90,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
