Competitive Salary

We’re looking for a Senior Portfolio Analyst to join our Business Planning & Analytics team, supporting portfolio performance and business planning for our Lloyd’s platform.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong analytical foundation and mathematical background, who enjoys applying technical skills to real-world underwriting and commercial decision-making. We’re open to candidates from a range of analytical roles, particularly those with actuarial or actuarial-adjacent experience.

If you’ve built quantitative expertise through actuarial, underwriting analytics, or a similarly related function and are looking for a role where you can focus on driving insight, influence and impact, we’d love to hear from you.

A bit about the job:

You’ll play a key role in delivering underwriting analytics and business planning activity for our Lloyd’s business. Your work will directly inform senior decision-making and help shape the performance and growth of the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing the Lloyd’s business planning model and supporting submissions to Lloyd’s

  • Producing and enhancing portfolio analytics, MI, and performance insight

  • Supporting portfolio management initiatives and helping embed analytical thinking into underwriting decisions

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders, such as the Active Underwriter, to deliver clear, timely, and meaningful insight, including ownership of our forecasting process.

  • Collaborating across underwriting, finance, and actuarial teams to ensure data consistency and robust analysis

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong analytical capability, ideally developed through actuarial, underwriting performance, portfolio management, finance, or analytics roles

  • A solid understanding of insurance fundamentals, with exposure to the Lloyd’s market and portfolio-based businesses highly desirable

  • Experience with, or the ability to quickly learn, Lloyd’s business planning processes, regulatory returns, and portfolio reporting

  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex modelling and scenario analysis; experience with SQL, R, Python, Power BI, or Qlik is an advantage

  • A structured, logical problem-solver who can translate complex analysis into clear insights and communicate confidently with non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail and pride taken in delivering quality outputs.
