Senior Offshore Wind Renewables Risk Engineer – Salary is Competitive

We are looking for an experienced and committed team player to join our growing Renewables Risk Management team. You should be a skilled communicator who is highly motivated to develop a career in risk management and provide top quality risk management advice to Aviva and its clients in support of its expanding offshore wind and wider renewable energy insurance business. In this exciting role, you will develop and deliver a first-class risk management proposition, by supporting risk surveys and technical evaluation of Offshore Wind Farms as well as other renewable energy assets situated across the world, supporting Aviva’s ambition to become a leading insurer in the renewables insurance market.
This role is home-based and flexible across the UK but will require regular travel to the London Office as well to client and partner sites.
A bit about the job:
In this role, you will provide specialist technical advice to evaluate the risk profile of Offshore Wind Farms and other marine assets such as interconnector cables and substations under construction and in operation. You will work very closely with teams in Aviva Renewable Energy Underwriting, Claims and Aviva Risk Management Solutions to improve and enhance our Offshore Wind offering to the market.
You will also lead the support for technical referrals from brokers, clients and colleagues as well as develop a network of close relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within the Offshore Wind sector to improve the visibility of Aviva’s Offshore Wind risk management capability and its wider renewables risk management offering.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Degree or qualification in a Marine, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline is desirable but not essential.
Significant experience in a role linked to the construction, operations or maintenance of Offshore Wind Farms, Marine Warranty Surveying or a related insurance role such as Loss Adjusting or Risk Management. Expertise in offshore electrical cables is highly desirable.
Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities to deliver work on time to a high standard.
Good report writing skills with the ability to grasp complex technical concepts, concisely analyse detailed technical information and summarise findings with recommendations.
A great communicator and influencer who can deliver high quality presentations and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

Salary is Competitive depending on skills, experience and qualifications
