Senior Risk Manager – Agile Transformation

Salary circa £75,000

With either a background in Agile Transformation and Risk, the role provides an opportunity to work alongside one of Aviva’s most material Transformation programmes, provides exposure to a large number of senior stakeholders and offers a large variety of really enjoyable and important work.

A bit about the job:

This role sits within the Technology & Transformation Group Risk team supporting both the Aviva Group and all Markets.

Key activities include:

  • Providing Change & Technology risk oversight, challenge and support to a key material programme.
  • Supporting the business in the effective assessment and, where required, remediation of their Change activity.
  • Analysing Change & Technology risk and control information to provide insights that inform/support decision making across Aviva Group and instil best practice.
  • Help to provide education and awareness training for colleagues across various functions and business units.
  • Support the delivery of risk reporting as required including CRO reports to Aviva Group and core market Risk and Executive Committees. ​

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience working with projects and programmes using Agile methodology — Agile delivery experience is essential for this role.
  • Strong understanding of change management processes, including the ability to identify, assess, and manage associated risks.
  • Knowledge of effective risk management practices, including familiarity with relevant frameworks, tools, and systems.
  • An inquisitive nature and ability to ‘join the dots’, spotting emerging trends and therefore risks to the business within ambiguous or evolving situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and confidently to a range of stakeholders.

  • Salary circa £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
