SME Business Insurance Advisor - Starting salary £29,650 plus additional benefits

This role would suit someone with experience in insurance, underwriting, customer service, sales, or account management who is confident making decisions, working within delegated authority levels, and delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs.

A bit about the job:

As a Small Business Insurance Adviser, you'll be responsible for managing customer interactions across our small business insurance products, from initial quotations and policy sales through to renewals, amendments, and cancellations. Using your underwriting knowledge and delegated authority, you'll provide expert guidance and tailored solutions while ensuring customers receive an excellent experience at every stage of their journey. Working closely with underwriting colleagues and other business areas, you'll help drive business growth, achieve key performance targets, and support customers with professionalism, care, and expertise.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

• Previous experience in insurance, underwriting, sales, customer service, or a regulated financial services environment.
• Ability to confidently assess risk, make informed decisions, and work effectively in a non-scripted customer-facing role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to handle complex customer conversations and negotiate positive outcomes.
• Experience managing workloads effectively, prioritising customer needs, and working towards performance and service targets.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements and customer-focused principles, with a commitment to delivering fair and compliant customer outcomes.

• Starting salary £29,650 plus additional benefits.
